In the past, there was not a 16U national duals for women, both 16U and junior women wrestled at junior duals. With the sport of women’s wrestling growing USA Wrestling is finally able to separate the two divisions for the first time!

In the first year of the 16U duals, there are 22 teams in the freestyle division! There are three states bringing more than one team! The states that are bringing more than one team are: Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The other states that are bringing a team are: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin! There are 13 teams registered for the greco tournament, Texas is the only state bringing more than one team to the event. The other states bringing teams are: California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Notable Athetes
In order for an athlete to be in the notable athletes section one of three criteria must be met: a regional champion at one of the 2024 USA Wrestling regionals, be champion at the HS girls showcase (at the US Open), or a placer at the 2024 U.S. Marine Corps Women’s National Championships! States bringing more than one team will have all athletes under their state.
